The Minimum Price Commitment can only be requested before the purchase is completed.

The request must relate to an equivalent product, with the same characteristics, quantities, materials, weights, finishes, customisation options, production deadline, delivery deadline and delivery location.

The comparison will always be made based on the total effective cost of the order, including product, customisation, VAT, delivery costs, applicable fees and delivery deadline.

The lower price must be offered by a company legally established in Portugal or by an online printing operator with regular activity in the Portuguese market, public prices visible on its website and delivery available to Mainland Portugal.

By way of example, comparable operators in the printing sector may be considered, such as 360imprimir.pt, vistaprint.pt, pixartprinting.com.pt or other online printing companies and print shops with public, verifiable and equivalent commercial conditions.

The analysis is always based on real and comparable proposals. A generic price reference or a commercial communication without technical detail is not sufficient.

To request an analysis, the customer must complete the online contact form and send clear, complete and up-to-date proof of the competitor’s proposal.

The proof must include a screenshot of the competitor’s website, with the URL visible, or a formal quotation issued by the competing print shop, with date, validity and company identification.

The information submitted must allow us to confirm:

• Product being compared;
• Quantity;
• Format, material and finishes;
• Type of printing or customisation;
• Production deadline;
• Delivery deadline;
• Delivery address or area;
• Final amount payable, including VAT;
• Applicable delivery costs;
• Campaigns, vouchers, credits or discounts applied;
• Date on which the price is available;
• URL of the page where the price can be verified.

The information must be real, complete and verifiable. Incomplete screenshots, indicative prices, partial simulations or values without sufficient detail may not be accepted.

The analysis is carried out transparently and only on truly equivalent proposals.

Differences in material, origin of paper or other substrates, certifications, weight, finish, printing method, production quality, delivery deadline or service conditions may prevent the commitment from being applied.

For example, a product printed on certified paper or paper sourced from sustainable forests may not be comparable to a product produced on paper without the same origin, certification or quality.

Prices obtained with longer production or delivery deadlines will also not be considered when those deadlines are not equivalent to those offered by Ask-to-Print.

The Minimum Price Commitment does not apply to products on promotion, temporary campaigns, sales, clearance offers, coupons, promotional codes, exclusive discounts, special offers or non-public commercial conditions.

When the competitor’s price includes a later return in the form of a voucher, balance, customer account credit or similar benefit, Ask-to-Print may, if it decides to match the proposal, apply the same principle.

In these cases, the adjustment may be made through customer account credit, and not necessarily through a direct price reduction at the time of purchase.

The Minimum Price Commitment does not apply to:

• Orders already paid for or completed;
• Products on promotion or campaign;
• Products out of stock or without immediate availability;
• Products with different characteristics;
• Products with non-equivalent materials, papers or finishes;
• Products with different production or delivery deadlines;
• Prices obtained through coupons, vouchers or promotional codes;
• Personalised, private or exclusive discounts;
• Typographical, technical or pricing errors;
• Discontinued, outlet, used, refurbished or damaged products;
• Proposals without complete and verifiable information;
• Products sold by marketplaces, resellers or unidentified third parties;
• Design services, file preparation, installation, special delivery services, after-sales services or other ancillary services;
• Situations that may involve selling below cost or breach applicable legal rules.

Ask-to-Print may refuse to apply the Minimum Price Commitment when:

• The proof submitted is insufficient;
• The screenshot does not show the visible URL;
• The price is not valid at the time of analysis;
• The product is not effectively equivalent;
• The production or delivery deadline is not comparable;
• The competitor’s price results from a promotion, voucher or campaign;
• There are relevant differences in quality, material, origin, certification or finish;
• The competing supplier does not present clear commercial conditions;
• The comparison does not include the total cost of the order;
• Applying the discount is not commercially or legally viable.

Each request is analysed individually by Ask-to-Print, based on the information submitted by the customer and on the verification of the comparison conditions.

After analysis, Ask-to-Print may:

• Match the price presented;
• Propose a partial adjustment;
• Grant customer account credit;
• Refuse to apply the commitment.

The final decision always rests with Ask-to-Print and will be communicated to the customer before the purchase is completed.

The application of the Minimum Price Commitment respects the legislation in force, namely Decree-Law no. 166/2013 of 27 December, as currently amended, relating to the regime applicable to individual restrictive trade practices.

For this reason, Ask-to-Print reserves the right not to apply any price adjustment that may imply selling below cost or breaching applicable legal rules.
